Curriculum for Excellence (C.F.E)
Curriculum for Excellence is about introducing a more modern approach to the delivery of a comprehensive mathematics education to pupils, a need for a change of emphasis in the teaching methodology (particularly for Secondary Sector) and making children more accountable for what, how and when they learn the fundamentals of Mathematics and Arithmetic (Numeracy).
Here, we aim to help schools and teachers by typing up the curricular content of the new Curriculum for Excellence with that outlined in the former 5-14 strand checklist.
TeeJay are considering writing a new set of 6 textbooks for CfE Levels 1 to 3 (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b) and have sent out a free copy of the first of these, Book 2a, to all schools for viewing.
